ABOUT

The Kids Land is a children's footwear store at 14-900 Centennial Blvd, Warman, SK, about 20 minutes north of Saskatoon. We fit children ages 6 to 14 and specialise in boots, dress shoes, and flats priced between $37 and $79 CAD. Online orders are usually ready for in-store pickup within 24 hours, and we ship across Canada and the United States.

We are not the right store for every purchase. If you need athletic shoes, toddler sizes, or sport-specific footwear, we say so plainly below and point you elsewhere.

Sizing: how we fit a child in-store

Our sizing runs in standard North American kids' sizes. A single style typically spans the big-kid range — for example, our Regina dress shoe runs sizes 12, 13, 1, 2, and 3.

The method we use at the counter, which you can also use at home:

  1. Measure both feet, in the afternoon. Feet swell through the day, and one foot is almost always slightly larger. Fit the larger foot.
  2. Leave roughly a thumb's width of space — about 1.3 cm — between the longest toe and the end of the shoe, with the sock the child will actually wear.
  3. Check width, not just length. Two children with identical foot length can need different shoes entirely.
  4. Do not size up two sizes to buy an extra year. Excess length changes a child's gait and reduces grip on ice — which matters in a Saskatchewan winter.
  5. Re-measure every season. School-age feet change fast enough that last year's number is not reliable.

If you are within driving distance, a fitting takes about five minutes and costs nothing.

When you should shop somewhere else

An honest list, because a wasted trip helps nobody:

  • Your child plays a specific sport. Cleats, court shoes, and skates are specialist purchases and we don't stock them.
  • You need a running shoe for real mileage. Dedicated kids' running lines from New Balance, ASICS, and HOKA are built for it. We aren't competing there.
  • Your child is under school age. We fit from roughly age 6 upward.
  • You need a certified waterproof boot for a child standing in slush every day. Look for a boot with an explicit waterproof rating rather than a lined winter boot.
